Currently Mario Gonzalez acts as CFO of Nadro a pharma distributor with sales above US$2,200 million, serving and delivering 13,500 products daily to 26,000 points of sale. Prior was CEO of Pichardo Asset Management, a financial fund investing, distributing and operating fund quoting in the NYSE and BMV. Mr. Gonzalez a seasoned financial executive has worked as CFO and COO over the last 35 years in diverse industries including the Consumer industry with Coke, Industrial with Dow Chemical, Housing with Homex, Infrastructure with GMD, Logistic with TMM & TFM and Pharmaceutical with Nadro & GFESA and in different geographies internationally such as the United States, Ecuador, Italy and México. Mario Gonzalez is a graduate of George Washington University where he earned a Master’s in Science & major in Marketing and Business and a Diploma in Economics from American University. He also received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana. Mr. Gonzalez has served as professor in diverse Master´s degree Schools of Business Administration over the last 15 years and collaborates and publishes articles in business magazines like Expansion and Ejecutivos de Finanzas.

Some achievements include:
- Experienced in successful Real Estate investments, Project Developments, Bids, Establishment and formation of new companies in almost all countries in Latin-America, a large variety of mergers and acquisitions including the last ones in the health service sector, acquisition of pharmacy chains, and establishment of new companies servicing health patients.
- Introduced and implemented new Planning Tools integrating the company´s strategic vision with bottom up aligned activities so that goals and responsibilities are well defined and understood, resources planned and actions controlled for value creation.
- Successful led financial market placements including several fixed income and private placements as well as a public offering in Mexico, South America, Europe and United States together with long and short term placements of bonds, notes, commercial paper, bank facilities and equity deals, the largest one for $800 million dollars.All these through numerous financial institutions in which he has a recognized participation.
- Managed and implemented hedging risk management positions that protected the underlying assets: interest rates, currencies and fuel mainly in the U.S., European, Mexico and South America markets and with a positive result of more that $30 MIO dollars of profits, using a variety of derivatives, including swaps, caps, forwards, futures, etc.
- Managed and had immplemented cross functional portafolio management economic indicators evaluating customers, products, suppliers and geographies. Furthermore had introduced abc costing and EVA indicators throughout different organizations.
- Several financial tax planning deals in countries of South America, Mexico, United States and Europe with great economic favorable effects, topping several hundred of million dollars including financial leases, double dip structures, arbitrage deals, debt equity swaps, mergers, tax credit offerings and the development of financial centers.
- Actively led and participated in successfully large acquisitions, mergers or company restructures in South America, Mexico and United States in pharmaceutical companies like Grupo Lepetit, Life, Marion Merrel Dow; in consumer companies like Dowbrands and in the transportation and the logistic sectors including the privatization of highways in México. In addition, as head of investment capital committees led several projects effectively, the most important ones the privatization of the Port of Manzanillo and the start up of the major private railroad in Mexico TFM.
- Lead and develop multiple financial cost efficiency structures including cash pooling, clearing and exposure netting houses, factoring and leasing companies.
- As head of systems and communications, he has been able to implement and develop new processes and systems successfully for new companies like the cases of FANASA & TFM (an operating US$650 million transportation system) and the re-design of more than 20 different setups regarding operational and business applications software programs and/or ERP´s (SAP and Oracle among others). I´ve been exposed to ISO standards and has guided organizational re-designs in several cases as well.
- Through his leadership in administrative activities has head accounting responsibilities using USGAAPS, IAS, MEXGAAPS and other foreign accounting standards, knowledgeable of SEC requirements and discussed with positive outcomes SEC rules with SEC representatives and accounting firms such as Price WaterhouseCoopers, Ernst and Young and Deloitte & Touché.
- Regarding his participation in business related matters he has designed several planning and budgeting interactive systems, supported price and volume negotiations, bankrupt proceedings, contracting, project development, cost control actions, cost standard models, fixed cost absorption models and other activities with overwhelming results. Furthermore, he has led all procurement activities including successful supplier negotiations and just in time procurement activities.
- As a Board Member in South American, Mexican and European firms including TVM, TMM, Montedison, TFM, First Chemical Factoring and Life among others, he has participated successfully in restructuring activities, organizational process evaluations, control acts, corporate compensating policies as well as the common Board Member activities including the preparation of shareholders’ agreements.In addition, he has participated actively in meetings and negotiations in different capacities with top governmental authorities in several counties.Furthermore, he has represented the companies that have worked for in a large number of forums and events. The largest one held in Washington, D.C. at the Transportation Research Board Forum with nearly 5,000 participants in January 2001. Lastly, he has been chosen and being exposed in magazines such as Expansion, Costume Magazine, Transporte Siglo XXI, Escala, Proyección Humana as well as referred in different newspapers, evidencing his leadership in financial related matters, new process oriented developments and projects.
- For more than 15 years have been Professor of Various Master Degree Programs in Mexico: MBA & MS programs from the Universidad del Valle de Mexico and Universidad Politécnica de Morelos (UPEMOR). Professor of Finance and Business courses such as Strategic Management, Economic Project Valuation, Human Resources Systems, Financial Techniques, Company Valuation, Organization and Controlling among others.
